The Lutheran Church of Mahomet is participating
in God’s Work Our Hands Sunday once more this
September on the 23rd. This year we will be working
with The Red Sand Project which seeks to draw atten-
tion to human trafficking and connect individuals with
the resources they need to fight against it, through
the creation of sidewalk installations.
The youth partnered with The Red Sand Project
in Houston as part of their service to the community
there, and they were inspired to revisit that mission
here in Mahomet. This event also coincides with our
last Hands-On Worship of the summer, so we hope
you’ll join us as we get our hands dirty spreading red
sand into the cracks of our community so that we
might not forget the individuals slipping through the
cracks of our society.
