BRINGING WATERCOLOUR TO LIFE
In Josephian Arts Programme( JAP) Visual Arts and Music, students are stretched to achieve their artistic potential either as young artists or musicians.
The programme develops

At the heart of JAP is the use of inquiry-based learning, and students craft their investigations into ideas and issues, skills and techniques, to develop their own artistic or musical practice. JAP students also develop art and music criticism skills.

SJI was delighted to welcome artist and educator Ms Stephenie Choy, the creative force behind @ einehpets. art. Known for her playful, emotionfilled watercolour illustrations, Ms Choy brings a unique blend of traditional artistry and digital creativity to her teaching practice.
Over the course of a 10-week coaching programme, Ms Choy worked closely with Year 1 JAP Visual Art students, guiding them through both foundational watercolour techniques and digital illustration using Procreate.
This is a multi-year programme supported by the National Arts Council’ s Artist-in-School Scheme( AISS), which supports sustained school partnerships with Singapore arts professionals to deepen engagement through the arts.
