The BLOODay CAS hopes that more students and the wider school community ( staff , parents and alumni ) will come forward to donate blood during our bi-annual donation drives . Recognising that Singapore ’ s demographic trend is towards an older population , the need for blood supplies will continue to climb . There has been a decrease of youth donors from 17 % ( 2022 ) to 15 % ( 2023 ) and this does not bode well for us as a nation .
