ENVIRONMENT & SUSTAINABILITY EXPERIENCE IN CHIANG MAI
The six days in November spent in rural Chiang Mai , Thailand , were filled with laughter , sweat and most importantly , unforgettable memories .
Our journey unfolded as 37 Josephians students and 5 teachers embraced the vibrant energy of Chiang Mai and delved into the rustic charm of Earth Home , a quaint village nestled about a 2-hour drive from the bustling city of Chiang Mai . Earth Home is a guesthouse designed with sustainability and environmental awareness at its heart , working in harmony with nature and empowering people and communities .
Immersing ourselves into the rhythm of village life , we found our hands covered in mud , crafting over 200 adobe bricks with care and intention . This tactile experience not only connected us to the earth but also deepened our appreciation for sustainable building practices . Seed bombing added an element of eco-adventure to our days in Earth Home . With the guidance of local experts , we used a slingshot as a tool to disperse seeds midway through our trek .
