What better way to lead but by example - that of serving others around you .
By standing up and taking ownership for what one believes in , one can earn the respect of the people he is leading . Embracing our values will also inspire others to follow suit ; people follow first the leader , then the plan .
Scott Heng ( 333 ) shares a similar opinion with Bryan and considers role modeling crucial too but feels other pertinent qualities a leader should possess will be the ability to bring out the best in the people he works with and having a listening ear .
The resonating opinion that comes across strongly from these young leaders is the core of leadership : serving others with a heart ; thereby inspiring them .
The SJI school community can rest assured as it appears our Prefect Executive Committee is clear about their role . Each of them will be that ‘ someone who knows the way , goes the way , and shows the way ’ ( John C Maxwell ) to those in the school community and beyond .
