LUMEN | COVID-19 PANDEMIC - TRANSFORMING THE WAY WE WORK , STUDY , PLAY AND LIVE
What Our Educators and Students learnt from HBL

Ms Annie Wong , Head of IB Mother Tongue Languages , shared , “ HBL has been surprisingly effective and beneficial , as lessons were generally able to continue as planned . In fact , the learning is

actually more focused and engaged for some students . Participation is also sustained . I think this has challenged us as teachers to really go back to the basics of teaching pedagogies and lesson planning . I ' ve enjoyed HBL .”
Music Teacher Ms Nathania Chan says , “ I think HBL challenges the way we interact and teach . It also unlocks one ' s creativity on how to keep lessons fresh and exciting with and for the students . However , for music subject , there are skills that we are not able to proceed with such as ensemble playing and certain challenging topics like harmony where face to face interaction is more effective . Other than that , it has been fun .”
Ms Vivien Sim : " It redefines multi-tasking , multi-screening . I feel like a stockbroker reacting to an ever changing situation !”
