Accent Lighting

In every city , there is a boundary between the urban interior and the urban exterior : the outer surfaces of buildings . The façades of buildings delimit the outer space , shaping the scenery in front of which collective life takes place . These vertical margins , so similar to theatrical backdrops , are essential for the identification and understanding of places , as they make them recognisable and help to convey their functions and specificities . Facades are always different . They do not just vary in shape , size and materials . There can be protrusions and recesses , both for aesthetic and functional reasons . Facades are solid , to separate the inside from the outside , but equally empty to unite them : openings such as doors and windows dissolve the boundary , making it crossable .

Accent Lighting is the new Cariboni Group collection designed to enhance every façade with light . From dusk to dawn , the products in the Accent Lighting collection generate different light effects that can emphasise the architectural elements of a building or distinguish it with luminous signs . During the day , when they are turned off , they become discreet and anonymous objects that do not alter the aesthetics of the building . Grapho , Mikro , Emi and Omikron mini are the outcome of a research aimed at simplicity of form and quality of light .
Grapho Grapho has a flat , square shape . Mounted on the surface to be illuminated , Grapho is particularly suitable for tracing horizontal and vertical light marks on the façade . Grapho can be camouflaged on the architecture by adopting the same colour and finish of the wall where it is installed . The cover is pre-treated with a special primer that makes it suitable for wall painting while maintaining its corrosion resistance . It is available with two or four light emissions . The distribution is grazing and has three different beam widths : narrow 4 °, medium 21 ° and wide 36 °.
Mikro Mikro is extremely compact and flexible . It has a grazing luminous emission and , just like Grapho , it is available with a narrow 4 °, medium 21 ° and wide 36 ° beam . Mikro is ideal for the accent lighting of columns , mouldings and decorative façade elements . If required , the integrated mounting bracket can be adjusted to allow the product to be tilted whenever the surface to be lit is not perfectly vertical or when the wall to be lit cannot be pierced and instead an adjacent surface is used ( e . g . on façades of special historical or architectural value ).
Emi Emi offers two different lighting effects : BL , a blade of light with a semi-circular opening , and AD , a washer with an asymmetrical diffuse distribution . The BL version is designed to illuminate doorways , arches , windows or to give rhythm with luminous frames to passageways such as porticos and corridors . The AD version is designed for the illumination of niches or other types of recesses . Emi ’ s clean lines and low height ensure that it does not interfere with the architecture . The mounting system allows for an inclination of up to 5 °, thus compensating for the slope of the installation surface .

Omikron mini Omikron mini is a small projector that can be fixed to the surface either with a plate or on an arm , pole or post with a special joint . It has three light distributions : a 6 ° x90 ° blade and two 10 ° and 25 ° spots . The blade marks horizontal and vertical surfaces with luminous lines . The spots illuminate the architectural and vegetal elements of the façade . Omikron mini allows for three different adjustments : the rotation of the mounting base ( 360 °), the tilting of the body (+ 90 ° -45 °) and the rotation of the optical unit by 355 ° for the orientation in any direction of the luminous blade .
