the activation of Smart services such as Wi-Fi
hotspots, Smart Metering, Smart Message Signage,
Smart Parking, Smart Irrigation, etc. This creates
a real Smart City. With AEC Smart System, cities

citizens and administrations. LED luminaires can
cleverly interact with presence, traffic and weather
sensors, thus providing “on demand” lighting.
This means to adjust the lighting in accordance
to actual needs, eliminating all wastes and
reducing environmental impact and energy
costs for public lighting.This is a long-term
investment for administrations, as the various
services, connected to each other through the same
public lighting infrastructure, do not require the
creation of a new network. Furthermore, by making
data easily accessible in a shared, Open Protocol-
based platform, costs of interfacing with
third-party services are minimized.
All AEC luminaires are tested in its certified
laboratories. Even when the unit is complete
with radio node, it is re-tested in order to fully
meet all the requirements set by EU directives
and product standards, which are essential
for the CE mark.
