Claypaky Odeon units illuminate the Torre del Gombito
Bergamo, Italy- For the international exhibition
“ I Maestri del Paesaggio”( The Masters of Landscape), Claypaky illuminated the thirteenthcentury Torre del Gombito( Gombito Tower), located in the heart of the old city. It was lit using eight Odeon Flood Maxi RGBW units: four with 15 ° and four with 25 ° beam angles. Claypaky ' s Massimiliano Biava had this to say: " We carried out a detailed lighting design study, since we had to adapt to the possible places where the units could be installed. The tower was not illuminated in the " classic " way of projecting light onto each face, but by placing the emphasis on the " angular " lighting of the corner between two faces. We succeeded in adapting the units very well to the limitations imposed, even though they were not placed in the ideal positions." The most modern and advanced installation technologies were used, including the software chosen to synchronize the colour effects using a wireless DMX system. The lighting effects consisted of synchronized fading colours, which covered the whole tower from top to bottom. The transition from one colour to the next was set at a suitable speed so that the viewers could appreciate the effect without their view being disturbed by an excessive rate of change. Beppe Cividini, owner of Bergamo-based Milleluci Service Srl, set up the project and took part in completing its artistic aspects.
THE ODEON LINE
Odeon is a complete line of compact lights for architectural use. They are available in a large variety of models, in two main categories: Flood for front lighting, and Graze for graze or accent lighting. Within the two categories, there are different types of lights( RGBW, Tunable White, Full White and monochromatic), different beam angles( 15 °, 25 ° and 35 °), different sizes, and different colours of the external finish. The Odeon units feature high-power multichip LED technology, which ensures excellent colour mixing and perfect DMX / RDM dimming.
All ODEON lights have an absolutely uniform output luminous flux, thanks to colour balancing performed during testing, which is another quality aspect typical and exclusive to systems manufactured and certified by Claypaky. Odeon units are lightweight, elegant and easy to install. Their colour temperatures are adjustable from 2700K to 7000K and they have an average LED lifespan of 80,000 hours. They are ideal for illuminating historical and artistic monuments, public and private buildings, architectural structures, parks, trees and gardens. However, they are also perfect for commercial venues like shops, shopping centres, restaurants, hotels, cinemas, gyms and leisure centres. Their IP65 and IK09 protection ratings and working temperature( from-25 ° C to + 50 ° C /-13 ° F to + 122 ° F) ensure long life and reliability over the years, even in particularly adverse weather conditions.
