I recently had the opportunity to
head to Kansas to sit and talk to
Jeremiah Bunch and hear his story
about harvesting his Kansas Giant.
Jeremiah picked up archery from
his dad but really started to hone
his skills with a mutual friend, Pat
Jensen. Personally, I have shot
with Pat, and if anyone can help
someone improve his archery
skills, it’s Pat who is an excellent
shot.

Jeremiah took his first deer 4 years
ago. It was a doe he shot at 20
yards, and he said the adrenaline
rush he felt is what got him hooked
on archery.
Jeremiah’s first encounter with the
deer they called “The Big Eight”
was from a trail camera picture from
July 2011. The deer was 4 and a
half years old and in Jeremiah’s
words “He had potential”.
