Keg Toss
1. Each organization will provide a 2 person team. 2. Sororities will throw a quarter keg 3. Fraternities will throw a half keg 4. The length of a throw will be the perpendicular distance between the throw line and where the keg first touches the ground. 5. If a thrower crosses the throw line, the distance of that throw will not be counted. It will be counted as a scratch. 6. Each person will be given only 2 throws, and the farther of the 2 throws will count toward final placement. 7. A throw constitutes the keg leaving the thrower’ s hand. 8. A team’ s total distance will be the sum of the 2 members’ best throws. 9. If any organization crosses the barrier marking the throwing field, the organization will be assessed a 5 point penalty to their overall score.
Mattress Race
1. There is no limitation to the amount of individuals that participate in this event. 2. A conventional regular inter-spring twin size mattress is required. 3. A Housing mattress is not allowed. 4. The mattress shall be a single mattress, unaltered, no box spring, no straps, ropes, or other modifications of any kind. 5. The riders of the mattress are required to wear a helmet for safety. Any other pads for safety are to the rider’ s and team’ s discretion. 6. 2 members stand at the end of the field opposite the starting line. 7. The starting line should be at the opposite end of all the bystanders. 8. At the starting line the remaining members will carry an empty mattress to the opposite end of the field. They will then place one of the 2 members on top of the mattress and carry them back to the starting line.
9. The mattress must be fully across the opposite line before placing the member on the mattress and must be fully across the starting line before letting the member off. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. 10. Step 8 will be repeated for member number 2. 11. First place shall be determined by the team whose mattress and both riders completely cross the finish line with their member safely on top.
