SORORITY COUNCIL CONSTITUTION Lawrence Technological University
We the Representatives of Delta Tau Sigma, Delta Phi Epsilon, and Chi Omega Rho in order to develop a greater understanding among the women’ s Greek organizations, to seek solutions to our common problems, to assist each other and the university in attaining educational and cultural objectives, do hereby establish this constitution.
ARTICLE I. NAME
This organization shall be known and herein referred to as the Sorority Council of Lawrence Technological University( LTU).
ARTICLE II. PURPOSE
The object of this Sorority Council shall be to develop and maintain sorority relations and in doing so:
a) Promote leadership opportunities and intellectual achievement. b) Cooperate with member sororities and the LTU administration concerning social, moral, and academic standards. c) Act as a coordination body for all local and national sororities not including National
Pan-Hellenic Council( NPHC) organizations.
ARTICLE III. MEMBERSHIP
Section 1 Membership shall include every social sorority at LTU not affiliated with NPHC and recognized as a student organization by LTU’ s Student Government.
Section 2 Each member sorority shall elect one Representative. This individual cannot be an officer in All Greek Council or president of her own sorority.
Section 3 Each member sorority shall be entitled to one vote through their Representative.
