Lowrance Link-9 is simple to install with a
low-profile, front-mount design that matches
perfectly with Lowrance MFD’s. A start-up
wizard, easy channel scan and a ‘favourites’
option enhance the user-friendly functionality
of the large, clear white dot-matrix LCD
screen. The remote mountable fist mic can
be connected to the front or rear of the
radio, and optional extension cable allows
the radio and mic to be mounted separately.
This offers a simple, cost-effective solution
without cable clutter.
For boaters who don’t need all the extensive features that the Link 9 provides,
Lowrance also offers the more affordable Link 6S VHF radio.
Link 6S VHF Radio:
The new Link 6s is replacing the previous Link 6 model. The main difference:
Link 6s has an internal GPS! The DSC function requires GPS position, therefore
it is convenient that the new Link 6S has built-in GPS.
The Link 6s is Class D DSC compliant for automated distress calling, including
position (when connected to a compatible GPS antenna). With the older Link
6 model, you had to connect the radio to a GPS-enabled display unit via the
NMEA network. No longer! Now the Link 6s is an awesome standalone VHF
radio.
