We are gearing up for our Grandparents & Special Friends Day performance on May 3 ! e students will be applying all of the concepts and skills they ’ ve learned to put on an amazing performance . Some of our fih graders have volunteered for a speaking or extra singing part , so having students practice these at home will build more confidence on stage ! Also , fourth grade students will have the opportunity to play ukulele during the performance if they would like to . If your fourth grade student has his or her own ukulele to bring in , this will help us get as many students participating as possible .

First , let us say that we are so proud of the kids for how hard they ran in completing the Kid ’ s Half Marathon in mid April and earning 13 “ Feet ” for their necklaces we gave them as their incentive and reward for doing such an awesome job ! In May , we will be playing games that focus on teamwork and making sure that 5th graders get to play some of their favorite games , as this is the last year that they will have PE … We will also be gearing up for the biggest event of the year for us as we prepare for our annual “ Funtastic Field Day ” on TUESDAY , MAY 21st ... Please have your child wear clothes that they can get wet , and they should also bring a towel and a change of clothes . We will be sending out a Sign Up Genius link for parents to volunteer with various activity stations . It takes EVERYONE to make this day a great success , so PLEASE be on the lookout for that and sign up ! We look forward to wrapping up the school year with a great day of fun for everyone , and we want every parent to know that we consider it a privilege and blessing to teach your children !
