In this passage , the disciples were physically and verbally keeping parents from bringing their children to Christ so they could simply touch Him . Jesus responded with a rebuke . As I reflected on this passage my mind kept thinking how we , in this American , Christian culture , continue to “ hinder ” our children from coming to Christ . �ough maybe not intentionally , how do the priorities ( i . e . sports , material belongings , popularity , influence ) we set for our children fail in properly placing Christ at the top of that list ? Does what they see in us model a love for Christ and His Word ? �e truth is that we all fall short as parents in these responsibilities . Take heart , you are in good company . My prayer for you , your children , and me this year is that we , the adult community at CPA , hinder our children less and and throw them with reckless abandon toward Him .
We are excited for our partnership with you in helping your children come to know God and love Him with all of their hearts .

Please join us to meet your teachers and visit your child ’ s classroom ! �is is an important time for your child to get acclimated and begin to get comfortable in their new environment . We look forward to seeing you and helping your child feel comfortable and confident starting this school year !

Please join us at 6:30 p . m . in the SDC for LS Parent Night . Parents only , please . Following a welcome from our Head of School , Nate Morrow and a brief introduction to the school year by Head of LS Chris Harris , you will walk to your child ’ s classroom to hear from their teacher .
