else was so healthy. This one thing was glaring and I couldn’t believe how intense it was. It allowed me to really deal with it in a way that I had never been able to in my entire life. My kids got to keep their mom. As anybody out there who’s ever struggled with suicidal thoughts, scary. It’s a really scary place to be. So when I say paleo gave me my life, I mean that literally. MM: That’s brilliant! Having been through that journey, if you could go back and have a chat with yourself before you started, what would you tell your newbie self to do differently? KK: I would just say not to be a perfectionist about it. I would say, you don’t have to be perfect and do it all right and you can do it in the way that feels good. I think in the beginning, probably the hardest thing for me was I was trying to do it all right, staying up really late to cook so that I had exactly the right things.
