AB: Obviously it’s made to make fun of the situation but it seems to me, again I’m saying this from almost like seeing it from an outside point of view, it seems the American society is really trying to dumb down people. KK: Absolutely! It’s crazy. People don’t just have any idea. They’re just watching all these things that aren’t pertained to what we really need to be putting our focus on and the importance of it. I worked for a local food policy for a year. I was a head of childhood nutrition and so what I was doing was coordinating school gardens with our school district of about 160 schools. We had about a hundred school gardens. I was working with the Coalition of other agencies in town where we’re really going in and educating kids about where food comes from because guess what? Kids have no idea. It’s really crazy and one of the reasons why we’ve done this urban farming thing is because I grew up in a farm. I want my kids to have that same experience and understand where food comes from. I have done these really great programs where we have created this kitchen cart so the kids grow the food in the gardens and they harvest it and
