I find that not long ago.
I did cross it for a year
because I wanted to be
one of the cool paleo kids.
I’ve never been athletic.
I was a ballet dancer but
I haven’t done that since
high school on a regular
basis. I’ve done some
yoga over the years and
I used to do the elliptical
for an hour a day which
is ridiculous. Every time
I have had a baby, six
months postpartum; I’ll be
back in the gym doing the
elliptical, just sweating
to death with no results.
I did crossfit for about a
year and off and on I got
hurt really bad several
times. That would put me
out for a month or so at
a time. I was always the
last in the class coming
in. it really beat me down.
The competitive nature
of it, even though it’s all
about your competing with
yourself, like, I don’t like
that at all, I don’t like that
- I just think that that
really leads to shame. So
