Next Level—New Seasons:
A focus on LFCC’s Graduates
by Dr. Monica Greene-Smalls
We thank God for his favor as we celebrate promotions in school and at work; graduations from all
educational levels, and the elevations in our lives that have occurred throughout this past year. At the
LFCC Scholarship Luncheon, held on July 12, 2014, the LFCC family was blessed to honor three
2014 high school graduates: Yakira Christy, Darryn Garner, and Dante Green, Jr. We also honored
college graduate Aliyah Johnson, who gave a powerful and inspiring keynote address. Dante Green,
Jr. graduated from Perry Hall High School and will be entering Morgan State University’s Engineering Program in the fall. Below, we hear directly from three of the graduates as they reflect on what
brought them to this next level, and discuss their plans as they enter a new season in their lives.

teens in some way.
Q) How has your relationship with God and with LFCC influenced your life to this point?
A) God has always been a part of my life and continues to be today. He allows me to grow in faith and peace
