MOVING Forward in 2014

?Complete, but not finished yet… “Striving for
Perfection and MOVING FORWARD”!
As we look back in celebration of what the Lord has
done in the last 7 Years, it's tempting to rest on our
laurels, to be satisfied with what has been accomplished. But WE are not FINISHED YET.
Thank God WE are still here. Whatever highs and
lows we’ve had in 2013, remember WE didn’t GIVE
UP, WE didn’t cave in and have a pity party, WE didn’t throw in the towel, WE didn’t let the devil run us
off or out, WE have no fear for the future, because
WE know that if God has called US to IT, HE will certainly bring Us through IT!
Our Faith is INCREASED; WE have a RENEWED Determination that GOD WILL AND GOD CAN…
Because WE are MOVING FORWARD!!!
The Bible says:
Not that I have already obtained this or am already
perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because
Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do
not consider that I have made it my own. But one
thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining
forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the
goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ
Jesus. Philippians 3:12-14
In this text that we tagged to use for our 2014 Yearly
Vision, the Apostle Paul makes a declaration that he
wants to MOVE FORWARD with his life, so he can
reach his ultimate goal. To reach his ultimate goal he
needs to leave his past and look forward to what lies
ahead of him. In other words, he needs to go
through a transition, which means leaving his comfort zone filled with familiarity for an uncertain future understanding that God has a strategic plan and
he can do Exceedingly and Abundantly above all we
can Ask, Think our Imagine. God is saying to us
LFCC that we must seize the MOMENT and MOMEN-

TUM of NOW. Now is the TIME for us to MOVE
FORWARD, NOW is the TIME to BUILD, NOW is
the TIME to LOVE, SERVE, EMPOWER and EVANGELIZE and as the word says NOW is the Acceptable time for SALVATION!!! (2 Corinthians 6:2b)
Paul not only recognizes that the Lord has a grand
purpose for his life; he realizes that he has not arrived at that purpose yet. Paul knows he is not
what he should be. He is aware of his faults and
the areas where he still needs to grow. The word
"perfect" also means "complete." Paul knew that
as much as he had accomplished for God, God was
not done with him. The same holds true for us
LFCC. God has an AMAZINGLY GRAND purpose
and plan for us and at the beginning of our journey it seemed so simple, and we were BLESSED in
the process, but IT”S NOT OVER, we have a long
way to go...a lot of work yet to be done, because we
are NOT FINISHED YET!!!!
Now, while we are preparing ourselves to MOVE
FORWARD, we can’t dwell on the past. We cannot
dwell on our past victories or our past failures. We
must concentrate on our future with God and set
our hopes and expectations on “What we are doing
now” and “What we will be doing in the days to
come!” And that involves a plan of action for 2014
Are you UP for the CHALLENGE…?
Remember Learn from your PAST, Prepare for
your FUTURE, Live in the PRESENT, but ALWAYS
KEEP MOVING FORWARD!!!
