To have my horses seek me, me over all their paddock friends, me over all their grass and other needs, when im there they come and seek me. I did not “train” them to do so, I built a relationship where they come to greet me when im there, they want to engage in grooming or play when I am there come on a walk or adventure find something new, play in the dam whatever they find fun is what we do. I bring positives; I take their needs into my first considerations before I look at what I’d like to offer them do they feel safe, are their tummies full, are they thirsty, tired? I must ask myself are all their needs met before I offer a game or idea. I may play with one horse, 2 or even 3. Not of my own asks but they are usually eager to join in. They come to me with ideas, many I havnt even thought of or some I had planned to bring out in the future. Im always in aww and surprised at what ideas they bring to me. This is how it can be when we build a relationship on allowance, guidance, understanding and authenticity.
