Aulanda Park – We Are Just Simply Natural
Where My Journey Began
I have always been drawn to horses, I had my first riding lesson when i was 7, back then it was "On Ya get And Off Ya Trot, Keep Those Heels Down And You'll Be Fine". Yep and i was. So 14 years down the track i don't ride as much as i thought I would, i do something i find much more rewarding. Riding is a privileged, and not one i take for granted! I never would have guessed when i started horse --riding, that all these years down the track id be on my way to finding that same magical moment i dreamed of that I saw in The Black Stallion movie where Alec is riding the Black tack free in perfect unity.
I found something just as magical on the ground with my horses. The term "Natural Horsemanship" of many kinds had always interested me and i wanted to know more. So along the years my journey progressed and knowledge grew, mostly after i bought my first horse Indy and then second Ben. Being the two first horses to call my own, they have truly set the foundation of knowledge of which i now use and continue to grow. Over the years i investigated and studied a lot of methods, but always came back to the question of, "What did my horse have to say or feel about it?". Over time i soon acquired my own style of communication from simply watching and studying my own horses. I soon found that the basis of relationship building with your horse was most amazing as well as important.
It wasn't long until my mindset, open as it always was to learning, became so much more so in what i had started to pick up from my horses. Looking back now at how quickly I've learnt and adjusted myself to so many horses, it even amazes me and I continue to learn from them each day. I eventually after many comments and asks for help, I took the leap of faith to start my dream, that dream being “Aulanda Park – We Are Just Simply Natural”. A place for learning and guiding others to provide the best relationship and understanding they can with their horses. I am still learning every day, but this does not mean I cannot share what I have gained in knowledge so far to those that wish to learn it.
