Aggeliki Hristoff Equine Photographer Feature

When did you first start equine photography?

I started 5 years ago for fun. The photos were pretty lame, mobile photos of horses edited as funky-effect as they could become ( I was 14 ) in a program I don't even remember. My best friend owned a horse and after my ride I used to take her some photos on her events/hacks or just the horses in their stables looking my pockets for sugar. Horse-days were also the only photo days for me, just having fun, so originally, I was born an equestrian photographer, these are my bases in this field and I'm totally proud of it.

What is your favorite style?

It's a bit more complicated than naming a favorite style.Emotion leads me in photography a 100%. Whether it's a horse, a book,a man, or a landscape, if I can convert it on my own visual language to tell a story or leave a feeling to the watcher, then it's my favorite style.

Were does your passion for equine photography come from?

My passion for equestrian photography, comes from the equestrian world itself. I have loved and lost horses, but what I gained from them was forever to keep. Horse riding was my fun-time, my cure when I was feeling bad, my escape. Horses don't answer your questions or calm you down with words but they stand for you, they give you space to breathe from the human stress. What is more, the most important thing they gave me was persistence. The never giving up logic. This will always be with me.
