America I Love
 by TIMIR BANERJEE , MD
The blossoming of a new flower has begun and is a glow on our faces
The process is lot more complicated than it appears on the surface
But the plant knows what it has to do to prepare for its fruit
Every cell gets united for its purpose at the root
Cause it is through that united effort that the plant can ascend from the darkness of obscurity
Our winter is past and we must get ready to escape the manacles of apathy
So the roots get busy gathering the essential nutrients The leaves sway and absorb the energy from the environment The stems open up their pipes to transmit the vital resources A new branch sprouts and shows it ’ s glorious countenance . The buds are ready to bring joy to the world with all their contents
Soon the green buds will split on the top to expose their beauty and hidden glory
And the flowers slowly will unravel from their closed compartments .
And the petals will expose their soft yet firm bodies to withstand
 the wind of the surroundings
And then everyone will admire the bees that will hover over the nectar from the stamen for their fulfillment .
This is the America I love For it is here that everyone tries to work
Together and silently with focus and purpose to make the flower that can rise from muck
The American goodwill , and its power to champion democracy , is the sweet ambrosia
And that is a gift to the world to enjoy its awesome enticing aroma Here we can marvel at the dancing of Salome or an Apsara
And yet we have the courage and the time to address many societal ills
Such as systemic racism by promoting justice and equality Despite all the anathema . And we can celebrate the blessing of America
The mythical flower of Nandan Kanan of Himalaya is ready to blossom
after the brief session of black water fever of quotidian malaria That has caused a few milia .
