LOGAN CARNEY ASHLEE MARGHEIM
Logan Daniel Carney is a forth year medical student at the University
of Louisville School of Medicine. He is from Union, Ky. Logan attended
Eastern Kentucky University and graduated Magna Cum Laude. He is a
Member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honors Society (highest honor
possible for a student of medicine). His career interest is trauma/ critical
care surgery. He loves Spending time with family, friends, and girlfriend
Sharon who is a NICU nurse at Norton Children’s, attending church,
golfing, racquetball, outdoor exercise, fantasy football and attending
Cincinnati Reds/Bengals games. His greatest achievement is remaining
a Cincy sports fan year after year. Ashlee Margheim is a fourth year medical student pursuing dermatology.
Originally from Alaska, she moved to Louisville in 2001 and has been
living here ever since. Prior to medical school, she worked as a registered
nurse for two years. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, reading, water
sports, trying new restaurants and traveling.
JAMIE DOCTROW
Jamie Doctrow was raised in Louisville surrounded by her large family,
including six physicians. She knew from a young age she wanted to be a
doctor. Watching her mom, who was diagnosed with scleroderma when
she was nine, go through treatments and surgeries only confirmed this
desire. She completed her undergraduate degree in biology and psy-
chological sciences at Western Kentucky University. She is pursuing a
residency in pediatrics with specific interests in global health and medical
education. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her fiancé, trying
new restaurants, and reading fiction novels.
JENNY OVERFIELD
Jenny Overfield is a fourth year medical student. She was born and
raised in Louisville, KY, attended Sacred Heart Academy for high school,
and earned a bachelors degree in exercise science at the University of
South Carolina Honors College. Returning home to Louisville for her
medical education at the University of Louisville School of Medicine has
been a dream of hers since she was 14 years old. She is now applying to
pediatric residency programs with subspecialty interests in pediatric
emergency medicine and neonatology. Jenny’s hobbies and interests
include cooking, staying active, attending concerts, traveling with
family and friends, and writing medical children’s books for pediatric
patient education.
JACOB HOERTER
In his time at the University of Louisville (UofL) School of Medicine,
Jacob has pursued his passions for basic science, education, service and
leadership. Dedicated to the medical student experience at the UofL,
he served four terms as president of the class of 2020. He continued
teaching test prep with Kaplan and began tutoring medical students
in the core classes and board exams. With his commitment to service,
leadership and maximizing his education, Jacob was inducted into the
Gold Humanism Honors Society and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical
Honor Society. He is participating in this year’s otolaryngology match
with his partner, Lydia Prevost, who will be matching in family medicine.
