I ’ ve been a fan of docs for a long , long time . My wife had a heart transplant back in 1990 . Her doctors became our friends . She lived for 10 years and we had a lot of conversations . I ’ ve been around hospitals a long time . I can see all the changes that have happened in the last 20 years , and I think you all are doing a great job . And this program is so great to let people know too . Because a lot of times , people just don ’ t know that story .

What an amazing experience this was . What really interested me about Dr . Tuckson was when he would explain to his patients what their condition was and what he proposed to do . He was very honest about how painful it would be . I spent 2.5 days with him . A young man came in with growths from HPV . Dr . Tuckson did such a good job of explaining what he could do and what the procedure was . And when they were done talking , the young man shook his hand and said ‘ You ’ re the best physician . Thank you so much for explaining this to me .’ I wish all doctors could be like that . It really impressed me .
