Watts Bar Lake has 722 miles of shoreline and over 39,090
acres of water surface. The lake travels 72 miles down the Ten-
nessee River and is popular for boating, fishing, swimming,
camping, and other outdoor activities.

Entertainment
The Historic Loudon Theatre and Event Center is a venue
for musical performances and movies in addition to plays. It
is also available for private functions. The outdoor courtyard
is also great for weddings, music and parties. Information at

Tellico Community Playhouse is located in the heart of
Tellico Village at 304 Lakeside Plaza. The Playhouse has 140
raised theatre style seats. Information on productions can be

Golf Courses: Public and Private
Landmark Golf Club at Avalon — Semi-private 18-hole
course with gently rolling terrain, sand traps and water
hazards.
Rarity Bay — Semi-Private 18-hole championship course on
the shore of Tellico Lake with putting green and driving range.
Tellico Village — Three private courses: Toqua Champion-
ship Course, Tanasi Golf Course and The Links at Kahite.
Tennessee National — Private 18-hole, Greg Norman de-
signed signature course on the shore of Watts Bar Lake on the
Tennessee River.
WindRiver — East Tennessee’s first Audubon Signa-
ture course open to the public for daily fee play and group
events.
Museums/State Park
Fort Loudoun State Historic Park — Visitors Center, mu-
seum, partially reconstructed fort, and stabilized ruins open
to the public. The Fort hosts several Garrison Weekends when
it comes to life with costumed soldiers re-enacting the every-

Greenback Heritage Museum — The museum was estab-
lished to preserve items related to the heritage and history of

Lenoir City Museum and Cotton Mill Site — The museum
is filled with artifacts from Lenoir City’s early days. Exhibits
include early businesses, the Civil War, WWI, WWII, and the

Sequoyah Birthplace Museum — Located on the shores
of Tellico Lake, the museum contains information about the
man who created the Cherokee system of writing in addition
to information on the Trail of Tears and the Cherokee people
who escaped this brutal march by fleeing into the mountains.
