Como era de esperarse, las playas con la mejor infraestructura turística son aquellas que también presentan una variada oferta nocturna; hablamos de Atacames, Salinas y Manta, recomendadas, en ese orden, por los operadores y agencias. Sin embargo, dos de los más conocidos paraísos hippies, Montañita y Canoa, también constan en la lista, dada la intensa actividad de bares y discotecas, a más de una gran afluencia de turistas extranjeros y jóvenes.
