There were elements of the book I liked and others I didn’t. To have more details on the life of Harry, Ron, Hermione, and their children was good. However, I don’t feel that had this story been published on the internet as unofficial, it would have gotten nearly as much support. In my opinion, the James Potter series by G Norman Lippert did the continuation more justice.

I did not feel as if the characters were speaking in the manner that they really would. It also didn’t seem to me that they were interacting with the other characters in the same way I envisioned them to. The style of writing, besides the fact that it was in play form, was much different than that of Rowling.

The thing I was most afraid of when this book came out was that it would ruin the amazing series by stretching it out. Luckily, the book did nothing of the sort. Although it was nowhere near as phenomenal as the books before it, I believe that the book was very good. Although it wasn’t the best book in the series, I think it would make for a phenomenal play.

Since I would be unhappy if the continuation of Harry Potter were only shared with the attendees of the play, I think the idea of publishing the book was a good idea. I loved the amount of dialogue and how quick of a read it was. Altogether, it was a score for the Potter community. I’d personally recommend the James Potter series by G Norman Lippert over this, but it was nice to get some official closure.
