As a devoted Potterhead, you can imagine my excitement in the summer of 2015 that a new installation would be coming to the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and The Cursed Child. I was a little less excited, however, to find out that it would be in play form, having never been a fan of it myself. To hear that Rowling would have a role equal to or less than the two other authors of the book made me question whether it would live up to my expectations.
However, I joined in the excitement of the eighth installment, reminiscent of the excitement when the eighth movie came out five years ago. I finished the book the day after it came out, to make sure nothing was spoiled for me.
“The thing I was most afraid of when this book came out was that it would ruin the amazing series by stretching it out.“
