The Season 6 premier also seemed lacking with the conflict at hoof. It seemed to lack an exciting conflict. Previous Season premiers seemed to grow in the conflict’s impact on pony life. In season 1, Nightmare Moon and eternal darkness was a threat. In Season 2, eternal chaos with Discord. Season 3, fear and hatred that could spread across Equestria caused by King Sombra. Season 4 had vines that threatened the existence of Equestria. In Season 5, we had Starlight, who wanted to create a world where she is above all. However, in the Season 6 premier, all we had was clouds that would freeze over the Crystal Empire. One reason, in my opinion, that made the first two episodes of season 6 lacking, is that there was two stories going on at the same time, shifting back and forth between the baby and Starlight. Although the episode came together in the end, it didn’t really seem all that focused, and there was too much going on at once. All in all, I feel that the first half of season 6 could be better, and I hope that the show will improve when the show comes back from its hiatus.
