●If you get asked an ‘explain’ for 20 marker = cause, effect+relationships. if you get asked ‘explain’, they want A LOT OF DETAIL
●Assess question? think of it as ‘how much?’ - but make a judgement
●Evaluate? - Think of it as ‘To what extent’ - also make a judgement
●In order to answer the question you must have a sustained argument throughout your essay, this must be shown in topic and concluding sentences.
