Baroak Opens
at Loews
Annapolis
Hotel
As co-owner of Capitol Lounge and
Granville Moore’s in Washington,
D.C., chef Teddy Folkman knows
a few things about running a stellar restaurant. He headed east for his
latest concept: Baroak Cookhouse &
Taproom, now open at Maryland’s
Loews Annapolis Hotel. Inspired by
American and Belgian pubs and taverns, the restaurant brings Folkman’s
famous moules frites from Granville
Moore’s, which have been consistently
voted the best mussels in Washington,
D.C. Diners at Baroak can also
peruse one of the largest Belgian and
craft beer selections in the city. The
restaurant’s vintage furnishings and
reclaimed surfaces add a moody and
modern air to the multiple seating
options, from booths to social tables
and outdoor dining, making Baroak
a welcoming space for any group. For
reservations, please call 410-295-3225.

Southern Celebration
Loews Atlanta Hotel will play host to the fifth annual Atlanta Food & Wine Festival on May 28-31. The highly
anticipated weekend celebrates Southern food and drink by showcasing the most innovative chefs, artisans and
mixologists from Texas all the way to Washington, D.C., while highlighting fine wines and quality ingredients from
the region. Throughout the four days filled with classes, demonstrations and tastings, attendees will learn about
topics ranging from summer harvests and small batch treats to the best barbecue sauce.
“At the Loews Atlanta Hotel, we have found more than just a great location; we have found an outstanding
partner that epitomizes Southern hospitality and takes our best interests to heart,” explains Elizabeth Feichter,
COO and co-founder, Atlanta Food & Wine Festival. “Our guests, our talent and our sponsors find their Southern
home-away-from-home in the heart of Midtown at Loews.”
Tickets to special dinners and events can be purchased separately from day passes, and this year, the festival will
introduce a family-style Sunday brunch to the itinerary. For more information, visit atlfoodandwinefestival.com.
