When news broke out about Ebony Reigns ’ ( Priscilla Opoku- Kwareteng ) passing , I was in disbelief and in shock for nothing had prepared me for the news . At a moment , I was also angry at how much as a country , we had kept on criticizing her lifestyle and how much she might have felt alienated in her own home country behind closed doors . Though not an avid fan of hers , I still felt some kind of emotions over her death probably because she was a budding musician who had taken the music industry by storm and had much more great things to accomplish . Time seemed to have healed our wounds , only for it to be cut open again with the deaths of Gospel musician Prophet Seth Frimpong and our celebrated Kumahood actor , Bishop Bernard Nyarko within a month . Prophet Seth Frimpong was the hit maker of the Gospel songs ‘ This Is My Year ’, ‘ This Is Just The Beginning ’ and ‘ Nyame Anuonyam .’ Prior to his death , the man of God had been missing in the music scene until 2017 when news broke about him being severely ill . Famed for his ‘ Okumchola ’ hit , nothing was heard about this veteran musician until his demise on Friday , April 24 , 2020 . various roles in these movies , most Ghanaians will remember him for his comic acting and his usual role as a pastor acting alongside the likes of Christina Awuni , Nana Ama McBrown , Lil Win , Mercy Asiedu , among others , he was one of the few actors who had incredible skills in movies which made him a household name among Ghanaians . Before his death , Bishop Nyarko was reported to have said he had quit acting to do ‘ God ’ s work ’ and nothing would make him rescind his decision .
