� Eco-friendly and work respectful production ’ s methods , with particular preference for realities that promote the work insertion of disadvantages people
� Producers ’ proximity to make the direct connection possible and to privilege zero food miles .
� The different criterions adopted for EGP ’ s goods choice largely match with the principles of the short supply chain : the lower environmental impact possible both during production and distribution stage , a better product traceability , the certainty of the goods origin , the possibility of saving money and of increasing consumers ’ awareness .
Producers ’ advantages
As previously mentioned , exists a wide correspondence between EPG and short supply chain dynamics , for example , the advantages for consumers and producers . The direct connection between the two parts allows sorting out some of their specific problems : problems about the product ’ s safety and quality for the consumers , problems about offer ’ s depletion and compensation for the producers . Small producers have to deal with the difficulties regarding the introduction of their products in the Large Scale Trade retail , due to the less competitive prices compared to those of the foreign market . When a product / item / article becomes no marketable , it implies additional costs for its disposal and reduced earnings , besides the ordinary expenses of transport , packaging and packaging disposal .
From this point of view , the advantages of a collaboration with an EPG resides in the possibility of knowing in advance a reliable estimates of the quantity of the product saleable on the direct trade channel . It allows considering not only the demands recorded just before
