energy spent , but also the practical possibility for a person alone to organize the purchase of products . The EPG in his small dimensions does the same tasks that are performed by a large distributor of raw materials , such as a supermarket . Both unite consumers to the producers , but the difference lies in the fact that supermarkets think instead of citizens , consumers , and organize the purchase so that these will buy the food alone , in isolation . On the contrary , the model of purchase settled by the EPG requires citizens to use their own head and be organized in groups with other individuals . First , the consumer may not collect as much information as the group can get as a whole . Second , the group has a critical mass that will attract producers . All the producers need a group of buyers . Of course , the farmer will agree to bring more baskets of vegetables rather than just one . It is the same for the small farmers who do not have access to a means of transport : it will be easier to split the cost of transport of vegetables between thirty families , rather than every family should visit itself the producer to buy the products . It ' s clear that in this way producers and consumers both earn , and that working together they have both advantages in terms of energy and time .
However , the group offers much more than that . It is a source of diverse skills , knowledge and capacities – it has many more resources than those of the singular subjects . In the group of consumers there will certainly be individuals having different capacities . For example , within the group of consumers , you will find people having knowledge in agricultural sciences or knowledge in the veterinary field that will help the consumers and producers in the group in the fields they have knowledge . It may happen there to be some chemical , which will give useful tips about the researches on the quality of the soil or water for the production of a certain food . You will find some accountant who will help with the bills , a computer scientist who will help to create platforms for online orders via the Internet , people who are part of associations belonging to the civil society , who will be able to resolve conflicts that inevitably arise from group works , etc . Besides the direct utility of the direct purchase of products , in Croatia groups can also become a small market for various other services . Through groups , people of different social backgrounds are acquainted with each other - young people , students , families with children , pensioners , etc . These people meet very often , becoming aware of their mutual needs . In this way , they build mutual trust : some student will find employment as a babysitter at some family that is part of the group , the plumber or a bricklayer belonging to the group will find a client and so on . In this way , you can organize many other spontaneous group activities , fuelled by the strength of the community . Each group has its own story , because individuals form the groups , and each of
