• Certification Bodies must be PREVIOUSLY accredited by Italian accreditation body( ACCREDIA) in accordance with ISO 17035( formerly ISO Guide 65, formerly EN 45011). Subsequently Certification Bodies require a specific authorization to Italian Ministry of Agriculture to perform control of a regulated production. Ministry of Agriculture performs an investigation of all the documentation of the Certification Body. Then Certification Bodies are formally allowed to operate. The authorization is valid three years. The Certification Body must submit annual reports to the Ministry and Regions.
