onsumers should be aware of every
aspect of their food, including the
ingredients, processing and handling.
Thus, there is a need for testing to
ensure peace of mind. PerkinElmer’s
porcine detection kits provide rapid,
on-the-spot screening for pork in other
types of meat before sending samples to
the laboratory for confirmatory analysis.
Two detection kits are now available,
one for raw and the other for processed
meat, and they both deliver quick results
with high sensitivity. Certifying agencies,

of meat products.
The immuno­chroma­
tography based test strips
are easy to use with a control
to clearly indicate positive
or negative results within

he Multiwave GO presents a novel
concept in microwave-heated instru­
ments for fast and routine leaching and
digestion applications. It is a compact
instrument, combining the benefits of
multimode ovens (high vessel capacity)
and mono-mode microwave systems
(small footprint) into one single device.
The proven SMART VENT technology using HVT50 vessels allows for the
digestion of high sample weights.
When operating in ‘multi vessel’ mode
the instrument automatically determines
the number of used vessels and ensures
smooth operation. The new ‘single
vessel’ mode supports quick digestion of
