The higher efficiency brought by these columns allows laboratories to produce greater amounts of information faster. Available in C18 , C18+ or HILIC chemistries, Waters offers the columns in 30 unique column configurations. When used together with the lowdispersion Waters® Acquity UPLC®, UPLC I-Class and UPLC H-Class systems, CORTECS columns offer new levels of UPLC performance. CORTECS column particles feature a solid, impermeable silica core encased in a porous silica outer layer where the A interactions between the stationary phase and the analytes occur. The CORTECS chemistries are used for: • C18 column is a general-purpose, Efficient Analysis with the SMS DVS-HT wide range of synthetic and natural chemistry-based industries are increasingly dependent upon efficient analysis of raw materials, active ingredients and proprietary formulations to remain competitive. In 1993, Surface Measurement Systems introduced its pioneering Dynamic Vapor Sorption (DVS) technique for automated water and organic vapor sorption studies. This single sample configuration of the DVS-1 produced a 10- to 100-fold decrease in analysis time and greatly improved accuracy when compared with manual methods. The HT offers a range of state-of-theart features as standard equipment, including multivapour compatibility to accommodate a wide range of water and organic vapour experiments, and built-in video microscopy to capture visual images of transitions and transformations in real-time. DVS-HT Application Areas: • Stability studies to select optimal drug and excipient combinations • Rapid screens of salts, solvates, hydrates, polymorphs and co-crystals • Large scale pre-formulation and formulation studies • Characterisation of polymers, food [
