When you join the hundreds of thousands of people who take part in wear it pink , you become part of a collective force of scientists , supporters and people affected by breast cancer . Together , by funding cuttingedge research , our aim is to ensure no one dies from breast cancer by 2050 . Every year , wear it pink raises around £ 2 million during Breast Cancer Awareness Month , by asking people to wear something pink and donate whatever they can . Since the very first wear it pink event in 2002 , we ’ ve raised almost £ 29 million thanks to the generosity of many thousands of people taking part in schools , workplaces , homes and social venues . We use the money you raise to fund world-class research , by the brightest scientific minds , across the UK and Ireland . We actively encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing , and help our scientists and clinicians kick-start innovation . Together , they ’ re working to discover how to prevent breast cancer , how to detect it earlier and how to treat it effectively at every stage so we can stop the disease taking lives .

Introducing Breast Cancer Now
We ’ re Breast Cancer Now , the UK ’ s largest breast cancer charity , was created by the merger of Breast Cancer Campaign and Breakthrough Breast Cancer . For more than 25 years , our two charities were committed to funding the very best in breast cancer research across prevention , diagnosis , treatments and secondary breast cancer . Our ambition was simple , and it was shared : to find a way to stop women dying from breast cancer . We made some truly incredible advances . But it became clear we
