1. Vocabulary:
a. Compound Microscope- an instrument with a two lens
system that provides an enlarged image of an object
b. Ocular ( eyepiece)- the part of the microscope that a person
looks into; multiplies the image 10X
c. Body Tube- a tube that connects the eyepiece to the
nosepiece.
d. Turret ( nosepiece)- the part of the microscope that holds
the objectives and allows them to be moved into position
for viewing
