Celebrates Five Years
of Success in Egypt
Over the past 45 years, RE/MAX has established
itself as the world’s largest real estate network
of Franchisee-owned and operated offices. From
a single office founded by Dave and Gail Liniger
in Denver, Colorado in 1973, RE/MAX has grown
into a global market leader in the real estate
industry, with more than 120,000 sales associ-
ates operating in more than 7,400 offices in over
100 countries. Together, these Agents constitute
the world’s most productive real estate force.
Through their efforts, they’ve made it possible
to say that nobody in the world sells more real
estate than RE/MAX.
Looking into the real estate market in Egypt, there is one
brand name that stands out from the rest, RE/MAX Egypt.
Launched during the second quarter of 2012 by Mr. Khaled
Nasser, RE/MAX Egypt is the largest and fastest growing real
estate network in Egypt ending its first year with five
Franchisee-owned offices and more than 55 sales associ-
ates. Five years later, RE/MAX Egypt’s network expanded to
31 Franchisee-owned offices sold and 22 opened offices
with a sales force of more than 390 associates. It is currently
present in six out of 27 governorates in Egypt, namely:
Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, the Red Sea, Dakahleya, and
Gharbeya.
I see RE/MAX as a major gateway for financial freedom for
any entrepreneur who wishes to pursue a career in real
estate, whether as a franchise owner or an agent. It is a
fantastic opportunity because it puts the world’s largest
real estate brand in the hands of Egyptian entrepreneurs
who are eager to take their career to the next level and
seize an opportunity to change their lives by investing this
brand into their own benefits.
In celebration of RE/MAX Egypt’s five years of
success, why did you choose the slogan “Win-
ning Together”?
We chose “Winning Together” as our slogan for several
reasons, one of them being the expansion of the brand in
Egypt. We couldn’t have expanded the brand like we did if
it wasn’t for the entire network; everybody’s input, market-
ing efforts, word of mouth, contacts and circle of influence.
Each member of RE/MAX Egypt has significantly partici-
pated in the growth of the brand, which in return quadru-
pled our volume of sales from 2016 to 2017. In addition,
about 30% of the total number of resale transactions were
finalized between the members of our network. These
collective efforts allowed us to reap the benefits of our work
making it much easier for us to expand the brand even
further and increase the size of our network. Our growth
and success came through a complete network effect
which has allowed us to beat the competition; this is why
we chose the slogan “Winning Together” because without
each other we can’t win.
RE/MAX Egypt recently celebrated five years of success in
the Egyptian market and chose “Winning Together” as its
slogan to capture the collective efforts, accomplishments,
and perseverance of its strong network that succeeded
despite all the challenges it encountered in the market
which included two revolutions, economic turmoil and
major currency devaluations.
Talking to the Regional Director of RE/MAX Egypt, Mr.
Khaled Nasser gave us an in-depth insight into RE/MAX
Egypt’s inception and how within only five years, the brand
has managed to transform itself into a staple in the Egyp-
tian real estate market.
What inspired you to start RE/MAX Egypt
despite all of the challenges Egypt was facing at
that time?
I looked at the opportunity from a much larger scope than
that current moment. I looked at the country in general.
With a population close to 100 million of which 35 year olds
make up 52%, there are a lot of young people who are in
constant need of first homes as well as second and vacation
homes. In addition, there was no real estate company, in my
opinion, that operates with the same concept of RE/MAX.
So, it wasn’t about what was happening at that time politi-
cally and economically, rather it was about a significant
opportunity for RE/MAX in the Egyptian market.

What are the major milestones and accomplish-
ments that RE/MAX Egypt achieved throughout
the past five years?
There are various important milestones, number one is the
very first franchisees who believed in the brand, and seized
the opportunity to join RE/MAX Egypt by investing in a
franchise. The second was when some of our Agents started
realizing the life changing opportunity RE/MAX can
provide for them especially after our very first convention
in February 2014.
Our third important milestone was in 2015 when we sold
and opened 10 franchises in only one year. This took the
