4 From the President
News from the President
Every year this column starts
with the new President saying
how honoured and privileged
they are to be taking on the
role of Liverpool Law Society
President ā this year is no
different. It has to be said
because it is true. I am really
looking forward to my year
representing Liverpool Law
Society members, the legal
profession in Merseyside, and
the region generally.
Although I am writing this
column before I officially take
office, I am already getting a
flavour of how busy the next
year is going to be. As VicePresident I was getting quite a
few emails from and about LLS,
but over the last few weeks this

and the effect all the recent
changes are having on the legal
profession, and on the clients

meeting is in this magazine. In
addition I attended a meeting
organised by Liverpool Vision at
which Louise Ellman MP and
Nick Small, Liverpool City
Councillor were present. The
aim of that meeting was to
discuss the problems in the legal
profession, and the potential
effect on the local economy,
and to see if th H
