the various Liverpool Law Society Sub Committees who will
outline the work of their Committee
Editorial Sub - Committee
Committee Chair: Sylvia Shepherd
How many members are on the Committee?
6 members and new members can be co -opted onto the
committee if anyone is interested in joining us.
How often does the Committee meet?
Once a month to review the current edition of the magazine and
discuss the content of the next one. We are also in regular touch
with the society and with our publisher Julia Baskerville especially
as we reach a publication deadline. In addition the chair attends
the general committee meetings to report on the contents of the
magazine and topics under discussion.

The main function is to receive and review the monthly articles
and reports which make up the Liverpool Law Bulletin. These
reports come from the officers of the society or from our members
who are willing to organise monthly contributions or updates and
reports on various sub-committee roles. One of the reasons for
this article, which will appear monthly and rotate around the subcommittees is to try and highlight the work of the sub-committees
on behalf of members. In addition we look for ideas for
occasional articles which might be of interest to our members and
review submissions.
What is the most important topic under discussion at the present
time?
At the moment as it’s the start of the new year we have been
reviewing the look and style of the magazine. We are now
looking for ways of encouraging more members to contact us with
articles for publication and ideas as to what they like or don’t like
in the magazine. Any ideas gratefully received to the email
address given in the editorial.
