18 Local News Networking Events Over the coming months we will be meeting the Chairs of the various Liverpool Law Society Sub Committees who will outline the work of their Committee Editorial Sub - Committee Committee Chair: Sylvia Shepherd How many members are on the Committee? 6 members and new members can be co -opted onto the committee if anyone is interested in joining us. How often does the Committee meet? Once a month to review the current edition of the magazine and discuss the content of the next one. We are also in regular touch with the society and with our publisher Julia Baskerville especially as we reach a publication deadline. In addition the chair attends the general committee meetings to report on the contents of the magazine and topics under discussion. Liverpool Chamber of Commerce 13th February at 9.00 13th February at 9.00 20th February at 9.00 21st February at 19.00 The main function is to receive and review the monthly articles and reports which make up the Liverpool Law Bulletin. These reports come from the officers of the society or from our members who are willing to organise monthly contributions or updates and reports on various sub-committee roles. One of the reasons for this article, which will appear monthly and rotate around the subcommittees is to try and highlight the work of the sub-committees on behalf of members. In addition we look for ideas for occasional articles which might be of interest to our members and review submissions. What is the most important topic under discussion at the present time? At the moment as it’s the start of the new year we have been reviewing the look and style of the magazine. We are now looking for ways of encouraging more members to contact us with articles for publication and ideas as to what they like or don’t like in the magazine.
