Magda Square is another node that pinpoints
another intersection between al-Tahrir Road
and the southbound axis of Al-Mehwer Al-Mar-
kazy. This square is named after the adjacent
Magda Mall, a significant landmark and gate-
way. Other well-known malls include al-Amri-
kiyya (I-V), Aly al-Deen I mall as well as Aly al-
Deen II, in addition to Diamond and Zamzam
Malls. Cascade, a single story café and event
venue, Renaissance Cinema and Cairo Bank
are also important landmarks on the periphery
of the study area. These buildings, bounded
by al-Tahrir Road, 6th of October University
and al-Mehwer Al-Markazy, constitute what is
referred to as AAA in this study. These main
roads also separate the area of study from the
surrounding residential districts .To the east of
the AAA, divided by al-Mehwer al-Markazy, is
the 1st District, to the south of which is the 2nd
District. To the west are located the 7th and
8th Districts bisected by al-Tahrir Road.
