Nearby landmarks associated with the Mosque
include an NGO under the same name, as well
as “al-Hossary public park” (Figure 13) across
al-Tahrir Road.
Despite its unique location, the park attracts
very few visitors perhaps as it is in poor con-
dition due to poor maintenance. Between the
Mosque and the Park is al-Hossary Square (Fig-
ure 14), a node which marks the point at which
two branches of al-Tahrir Road merge into one,
leading towards al-Mehwer al-Markazy road.
