genre of “visual novel” were released
by Japanese publishers that ranged
from stories with very dark themes to
romantic and fun.
So it would seem sex in games
has been around almost as long as
graphics in gaming. As hardware improves so does the graphics shown
in the game and of course this results in more controversy. It seems
the more realistic the look and feel of
the game, the more likely it will have
the censors debating the rating of if
indeed the game is given classification.
With more powerful hardware we
see greater potential for gaming to
be more immersive and one wonders how long before we see games
that really do emulate real life … anyone for the Matrix?
