The process of rebuilding the relationship was a task, a huge one but a fruitful one. When he saw a change in me, he too started changing his ways. We both started finding joy in each other's company. We both started respecting each other.
As I sit to write this today, the journey that I have undertaken amazes me. Our arguments still continue but we ensure we make peace before we sleep for the night. Love for me isn't compromise, isn't adjustment; it is respecting your love, discovering yourself and above all taking responsibility for your own actions!
