I’ll be honest with you; this has been one of the best books I’ve read in a long time. If you’re just starting out reading reverse harem, then this is for you. The plot moves along well and the relationship between Alexis and her boys is completely believable. Especially since they start out as just friends. A lot of times, in this particular genre, the relationship aspect moves a whole lot faster. And there’s nothing wrong with that. Sometimes, I like to read a slow burn.
Alexis sees the dead. They come to her in order to pass through to the veil. But something is going on in
the spirit world—causing all the ghosts to have extra energy to cause havoc and destruction. In the meantime, we meet the five boys will eventually (hopefully soon?) be Alexis’s harem. Again, they all start off as friends, making this a much natural progression.
I was very surprised how much I loved this. It was hella funny, had a kickass heroine, and all the boys are seriously swoon-worthy. This is said to be a ten book arc but please don’t let that scare you away! While the story had some grammatical issues and overall repetitiveness; it was fun and interesting! Plus, did I mention the boys are completely hot?!
So far, I’m halfway through book two and it’s just as good as the first book! You learn so much more about Lexie and the guys. Don’t be afraid to pick this up. It’s seriously the best!
