While you’re at the library, you might want to take a look around. Sure, you can Google a lot of information, but not much can beat an oversized book with charts or images that you really need for your research, or just for inspiration. While I was working on my Cliff Walk Courtships series, which is set in Newport, Rhode Island, I found books with incredible photographs along with maps that I used to really help me picture the setting. I traveled there as well, but the books were helpful in keeping the setting fresh in my mind and senses.
